My iPod has bitten the dust–it made it through about 3 years of nearly constant use, so I suppose it has served me pretty well.
Still, since I am between jobs until August, $300 for a new one seems extravagant at the moment. As does purchasing new CDs. Therefore, I have decided to go old school: I have pulled out the phonograph and my parents’ old record collections and will be listening exclusively to vinyl until school starts. (Except, of course, in the car.)
I have a few hundred records to get through–AND it’s garage sale season–so I shouldn’t have much trouble staying busy with lots of music I’ve never heard before.
I’ll keep you posted on how this goes.
