Xian Zhang has been named the next musical director of the Orchestra Verdi di Milano. This, of course, after serving as associate conductor of the New York Philharmonic since 2005.

I fondly remember the two years I played under her direction, and I am sure that she will see only continued success; she’s an incredible conductor and a brilliant person. Good Noise offers hearty congratulations.
