So speaking of Jimi Hendrix, I was reading in my trusty Grout/Palisca/Burkholder A History of Western Music the other day that Hendrix “became for the electric guitar what Paganini and Liszt were for the nineteenth-century violin and piano.”

And then I saw this. Hendrix takes it to Paganini and Liszt on their own turf. What technique! I’ll bet Paganini never played a violin with his teeth.
