The time has come for me to return to blogging after a year-long hiatus.
Unfortunately, my timing is poor. I’m moving out of my apartment in six days and am currently up to my ears in a.) boxes and packing tape and b.) annoying little errands. But next week–next week I will re-return with all the stops out.
This move up the I-71 corridor officially begins my graduate school sabbatical.
Perhaps it is a bit presumptuous of me to take a sabbatical before I am even remotely established as a scholar? Regardless of that: I have granted myself one year off for study and travel. I have a six-mile long reading list, a thesis to finish, Ph.D. applications to complete, a pile of music to learn, and an itch to head back to Europe.
Finding myself for the first time in recent memory without the captive audience of seminar/colloquium classmates, I will need a place to throw out all my lunatic notions and bright ideas.
So here goes.
